Happy Fit Friday!!

As many of my followers I know I have been battling cancer this year. That has meant chemo, being sick, and doctors appointments have been running my life. Well, my last chemo appoint was Sept. 10 and I hit the ground running in all sorts of directions, wanting to do so many different things now that I am moving in a direction of feeling good instead of battling with my health and my body. It is not me saying yes to things I don't really want to do, it is me filling my days with things I want to do. There may be a few too many things, but those will get weeded out pretty quick.
With all of this new found time and days that are quickly becoming chaos, especially when you throw in the schedule of four kids, I am quickly being reminded of the importance of schedules, and more specifically the importance of scheduling fitness and health.

***The Importance of Scheduling***
Scheduling is the art of planning your activities so that you can achieve your goals and priorities in the time you have available. When it's done effectively, it helps you: Understand what you can realistically achieve with your time. Make sure you have enough time for essential tasks.

Your health should be one of those essential things. That doesn't mean you need to find time to get in some hard core sweat sesh every day. You do need to make sure you are eating healthy meals and snacks, I have way too many clients that tell me they forgot to eat all day. You need to find time to drink your water, even if you have a crazy job there is time to take a sip of water if you prioritize it. And yes, you need to find time to workout regularly.

As you set your schedule it is important to Be Real. If you hate salad don't plan on a salad for lunch. If you have a busy week don't plan on getting to the gym six days that week. Look at what needs to get done that week, remember your personal likes and dislikes, then set a schedule for the week.
