Why we love Italian Chicken Sliders Recipe
Italian Chicken Sliders take just 3 ingredients, 3-6 hours in the slow cooker, and then serve 'em up on any kind of roll! We like the smaller slider rolls just for fun. Then we add a slice of havarti cheese--it's so creamy and delightful but any variety of cheese works great. This recipe has been a favorite of our family for 15+ years... my sister, Camey, gave us the recipe (what seems like forever ago). How to make Italian Chicken Sliders Recipe

Slow Cooker Tips & Tricks
Let's just have a little talk about our slow cookers here for a minute. . . As most of you know I'm a graduate of the Culinary School and one of the classes that's required is Sanitation and Safety. During this class we had an eye-opening chat about slow cookers and how they can be the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and pathogens.- If not careful they can be the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and pathogens.
- Preheat your crock pot just like you preheat your oven so plug it in and turn it to the high setting to get it nice and hot from the start for cooking. After all there is only one little probe heating the whole slow cooker!
- Add everything into the crock pot as warmed up as it can be, to cut down on the getting-the-food-hot portion of cooking, this is where you need to be cautious and make sure it is all hot and up to cooking temperature in 2-3 hours.
- If food stays between 41 degrees and 135 degrees for 4 hours, then it has to be thrown out because the bacteria and pathogens have had much too much time to grow and a food borne illness is a likely result.
- If you add meat; be sure it is thawed and NEVER added frozen, if it’s beef or pork brown it first.
- Add liquids hot ie: like use HOT water or warm up any liquids in the microwave first then add them in already hot.
- Spray the ceramic insert with cooking spray to make clean up a snap! It’ll wipe out with no sticking!

Fit Friday with Nichole!
With sunshine and summer come chaotic schedules and kids underfoot. For some of my mom friends gym time comes a bit easier with a babysitter at home. My house does not function that way. My taxi cab services get picked up a notch and with it any sense of regularity.
Which brings me back to my foundation basics. For me that means running and push-ups. Yes, push-ups!
Push-ups are one of my favorite go-to movements. They strengthen your core, back, chest, shoulders, and arms. In short, push-ups are amazing!
Let’s talk form! Like any movement, push-ups are only as amazing as your form.
HOW TO SET UP A CORRECT STANDARD PUSH-UP:
1. Hands should be slightly outside shoulder-width apart at chest level.
2. Feet should be hip-width apart and parallel to each other—not turned inward or outward.
3. Hips should be in line with the shoulders, and the lower back should have a neutral curve—not completely flat, but not overly curved either. To assist with keeping proper lower back alignment, slim your waistline by trying to pull your belly button in and tightening your abdominal muscles.
4. The head should be positioned so the ears are in line with the shoulders. They should not drop down toward the floor or looking up in front of the body.
HOW TO PERFORM A STANDARD PUSH-UP WITH PROPER FORM
Beginning:
1. Engage the core (belly button to spine and tighten abdominals).
2. Squeeze the glutes.
3. Keeping pressure through the hands, bend the elbows to lower the chest, hips, and head toward the ground- together as one.
Middle:
1. Get as close to the floor or wall as possible (nose, chest and belly button should be at the same level/height).
2. Continue to squeeze the glutes and engage the core.
3. Keep constant pressure through the hands into the floor.
End:
1. Engage the pectorals and imagine you're pushing the ground away from you.
2. Keep your energy focused in your core and NOT in your toes.
3. Continue to push up, ending, and at available range of motion in the arms while engaging your triceps.
Now the challenge:
