Why we love Peanut Butter Granola Snack Mix Recipe

Those cute little colored specks are chocolate covered sunflower seeds from Trader Joes.  Yummmmmm. If you don't have a Trader Joes around you then just use equal parts raw sunflower seeds and mini chocolate chips instead :) Adults and kiddos will all totally crave this tasty Peanut Butter Granola Snack Mix. We love it! It's healthy and so simple to make.  I love to make up a big batch so we can grab a hand fulls to help hold us over until the next meal! It's also great for road trips or family outings... it's easy to transport and will keep everybody happily munching until you make your destination!  It also keeps great for weeks in an air tight container.  I just love this stuff :)

Fit Friday with Nichole!

The sun is shining and my heart is happy! With warmer weather and longer daylight we are heading to the track for a circuit workout. One of  great things about the track, totally kid, and therefore, mom friendly! Take your kids to the track and let them join in or at least get a good dose of vitamin D while they watch momma get her workout on!

Let your kids see you workout, I get that it is generally "me time", but it can also be an opportunity for kids to see the value of working out and being healthy. I am definitely not saying you need to take your kids all the time, that leads to a pretty limited workout, at least with my kids it does. After all the mom stops my workout is generally not as great as it would be if I was on my own. If I don't push it often the kids will generally reward me with a lap around the track together. Which makes me happy and the mom stops worth it.

Now let's hit the track for this weeks Fit Friday workout:

Warm up on the track with two laps. After that comes the workout! Complete sprints and bleachers after your third time up and down the bleachers you will complete the push ups, dips, and split squats.

As soon as you finish that last split squat  take a big breath, grab a drink if you need it and head back around the track again with sprints.
